Reverse Engineering of Polyurethane Adhesives 1H and 13C NMR
We have considerable experience in reverse engineering of polyurethane adhesives, polyurethane dispersions, energy cure oligomers. 1H and 13C NMR is used to identify and quantify the various components in urethane products. Typical Components: 1) Acids: terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid, orthophthalic acid, adipic acid, caprolactone, succinic acid, dodecanedioic acid, sebacic acid, 2) Diols: butandiol, hexandiol, neopentyl glycol (NPG), 2,2'-DimorpholinoDiethyl Ether (DMDEE), ethylene glycol (EG), polyethylene glycol (PEG), propylene glycol (PG), polypropylene glycol (PPG), diethylene glycol (DEG), tetramethylene glycol 3) Acrylates: ethyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methacrylate, acrylic acid, methyl-methacrylate, butylacrylate, isobutyl acrylate, iso-propylacrylate, isobornylacrylate (IBOA), hydroxyethylacrylate (HEA), hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA), Pentaerythritol Triacrylate (PETA), dimethacrylamide (DMA) 4) Diisocyanates: Diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI), Isophorone Diisocyanate (IPDI), TDI, methylene dicyclohexylisocyanate (DesW), HDT, hexanediisocyanate (HDI), HDI Biuret, HDI Trimer
